You can also find bowls created by Martin Bläse, a modern novice who loves the art of metallurgy. All our Unlimited Singing Bowls are created in the region of the Himalayas. Are all of these bowls Tibetan Singing Bowls?

Not all of the bowls in the collection are created in the region of Tibet, but they are all created in the style and tradition of Tibetan Singing Bowls. Some are created in Europe in the style of bowls that originated in Tibet. Others are Antique Singing Bowls shaped and sounded by novices in and around Tibet. You can also find bowls created in Europe by Martin Bläse, a modern novice who loves the art of metallurgy.

All our Unlimited Singing Bowls are created in the Himalayan region. Meinl Singing Bowls are created in Germany in the modern tradition. Some people call these bowls Tibetan music bowls, Tibetan sound bowls, prayer sound bowls, or Tibetan healing bowls – these are all different names for similar styles of singing bowls from the same spiritual tradition.

What’s the difference between a Tibetan Singing Bowl and other styles of bowls?

Tibetan Singing Bowls are made in Tibet, other styles of bowl are made elsewhere. However, many of these bowls are made in the same tradition and style as Tibetan Singing Bowls, with extra care and attention given to creating meditative sounds for prayer, meditation, and healing. These bowls are all perfect for sound bath meditations.

How do I play a Tibetan Singing Bowl?

It takes a little bit of practice, but once you figure it out, you can feel the sweet spot when the bowl starts to sing. You can either tap the bowl gently on the rim, or drag the striker around the rim to make it resonate and sing. There are also a ton of resources out there on the internet if you need more guidance. You’ll get it in no time!

Are these singing bowl notes tuned to chakra musical notes?

No, our Tibetan style singing bowls aren’t tuned to any specific notes. Bowls at a specific size and weight will usually have approximately the same tone in the same octave range, but these bowls are not tuned to specific notes or chakras or solfeggio frequencies or anything like that.
